Instant tv

I have Netflix but I cancelled Lovefim, are there any good streamers to work with a Netflix account and freeview? I saw that Nowtv allows access to Sky channels but its doesn't say what channels and for how long you can view them.

This is what I get on my set box (Don't have sky)

Dont you have to pay £8 for a "sky pass" on something ?

Justme103 02 February 2014 08:53 PM

Nope, No payments apart from buying the box

Is netflix better than lovefilm. What i want are the latest films, blu-ray.

nik52wrx 02 February 2014 09:00 PM

I've been told movie tube is a good source of films although not tried it myself.

CharlySkunkWeed 02 February 2014 09:00 PM

How long have you had it ? Is it free for 1 month , then £8 movie pass ?

Justme103 02 February 2014 09:02 PM

The films that I get on my box are all free, Watched Hunger Games the other day, Man of Steel & watched Last Vegas today

Im not convinced with either TBH . Haven't tried Netflix but I have LF at the min. We'll , I think I'm being fussy , I have 30 on my list and I suppose by the time I get through them (2 a week) a new batch will be in. The 'instant' is guff , some of the films on there wouldn't even be on TV. Have a look through their library , but even its weird. Looking at their "recently added" aren't necessarily new films , and the most viewed is some random stuff like Thomas the Tank Engine (obviously from kids over xmas hols etc)

How much did u pay for the box ? Their website says the box on its own is £35 and you choose wether you want 5months of movie pass or sports pass. I assume when the 5months is up then its £8 a month ?

Edit - thought you were talking about the NowTv box like the OP.

Justme103 02 February 2014 09:16 PM

The box was £65. I have had it 4 months now, Do you have a link to that box as mine is no subscription

What is the picture quality like? If i stream to my laptop the quality isnt great IMO

Justme103 02 February 2014 09:45 PM

The sky sports football is ok, Films are excellent, Depends what you actually want to watch on it,
I sometimes watch the football & I can cope with it, The films are all excellent quality though

Yes, the instant choice is rubbish.

jayallen 04 February 2014 08:26 PM

Got my android tv box thingy through today, there are literally thousands of movies to choose from, including HD and 3D.

i think i will be keeping my SKY though but lowering it right down to a basic package from their full package which should save me a few quid a month.

Justme103 04 February 2014 08:37 PM

Have you got Mash up tv installed on it?

john banks 04 February 2014 09:14 PM

Looks like lots of copyright material to me. Career ending stuff for some if caught, regardless of your scruples, not worth the risk.
