All those cars gone now as well, not able to order WR blue pearl WRX STI, all seem to have been sold, unless any dealer has snaffeled up a load of them...

Thehulkster699 05 March 2014 09:01 AM

What - ALL available colours have now sold out? Wow. So how many sold this year in total then?

No, only the blue ones are unavailable to order, the other 3 colours are still available either May or June delivery.

Thehulkster699 05 March 2014 09:24 AM

Ah. Thanks. So, do you know how many WR blue have sold in total now?

terzoscooby 05 March 2014 09:26 AM

Bet they have all gone as demos or to IM/dealer sales managers directors etc. it gets them on the road being seen.

No, I believe but don't hold me too it there is only about 250 cars in total coming in this year, but that's all colours not just blue.

I am sure there will be a couple of press cars etc, as there should be, this car does need to be seen out there, and from all the press write-ups I have read so far the handling is fantastic, so it will do nothing but good for the Subaru brand. Cars can only be called off as sold orders from a dealership, so only dealers that will have one will have to put there own money into a car.

Wow. The RS mk2 sold around 8000 in the UK, and (in my area of North Yorkshire) you very rarely see any. Doubt I'll ever pass many Sti's going the opposite way.

Sadly times and EU regulations have changed too much

Same with the old saloon ones. Not sure how many were sold but in a year since getting mine i have only seen one on the road!!
You will have a rare car anyway....I like that!! In that time i must have seen hundreds of S3's and quite a few 135i's which people tell me i should have bought instead.

So far, AFAIK, on the Japanese website/s there is no mention of the JDM version, be it 2.0L or 2.5L

Only JDM model so far...................:D

Has anyone seen a pictures of a righthand drive model?

How on earth can subaru bring an sti in 2014 with 243 co2. It s will be so expensive overhere that i can buy 2 new bmw for the price of 1 sti with those high co2 numbers.

M135i has about 188 co2 with more than 300hp

In its defence Hulk Engine issues aside, I had 1 ( the old saloon ) for 3 years and it was bulletproof, I sold it due to end of warrenty and I didn't want the engine to give way when I wasn't covered.

If you plan to keep it after 3 years then just bare that in Mind, its the same Block that we all rant about.

hence why ive just bought the A45, I would have had the scoob IF they had dropped the 2.0L in but they don't listen to us customers just do what they want. I think that would be safe to say more of us would have gone back to the brand if they had given a hoot about us.

It will be lovely, and youll be getting it about the same time I get my A45 end of May June...

Enjoy it

your actually closeish to me, im Leeds I could come and look when you get it :)
Where did you buy from KT Greens ?

the a45 amg is about 15k more expencive tho how is that comparable to a scooby

The marketting dept just can't get it right can they
Subaru need a Hugh overhaul from grass routes to sort the mess they have created and still they don't seem to listern

They should have a member if staff reading forums to see where they go wrong
Bad job of customers don't even though of they are not getting gold alloys ( which do make th car go faster) and tax bracket although I'm sure it will be the top one

If a member of Subaru uk had came in here and prehaps reassured people of a new engine or modifications do it wouldn't go pop

They could of also offered a 5year warrenty

Maybe subaru uk should get their act together and find out why their cars aren't really selling
Look back to 1999/2000 and the good old days

Thing is they used to have people scanning forums like this.
I know for a fact that they used to 'plant' information out there to gauge reactions

In fairness 99/00 were totally unique years.
We had a car that not many could have lived with on the road, unless you had splashed out big bucks.
Even then, those cars would have struggled in anything but good/dry road conditions.
We also didn't have nearly £500 notes road tax either.

I'm with Littleted on the tax front

Hi I won't be in a position to buy until July would I still be able to order the car in white then? Even if all are sold out here.
Cheers Mark

The extra £15K gets you a more powerful engine with better fuel economy that actually works without sh1tting itself when you drive it hard and an interior that is actually nice to be in ... oh and a proper prestige marque :thumb:

terzoscooby 05 March 2014 12:18 PM

Don't forget launch control, double declutching pops and bangs, 7 speed dual clutch flappy paddle box and a dealer in every town. And they can be mapped to 400bhp without forging/pinning the engine. Oh and all the automated features.
Still going to test drive both.

urban 05 March 2014 12:18 PM

And annual road tax of £175 vs £475

terzoscooby 05 March 2014 12:32 PM

Has there been any info released on the communications, satnav, ICE, tracker etc..

I am sure you will be able to order one Mark no problem, but when delivery would be could only be answered at the time. PM me if you have any questions about deposit etc as I am sure we can sort something out for you so you can make sure you get one this year.

advevo 05 March 2014 01:39 PM

That's the gross vehicle weight.

Equivalent for the MY11 is 1765Kgs

I might have this wrong but the MY11 is 1505kg poids a vide but also quoted as kerbside weight. Add 5 kilos of coolant, 50 kg of fuel, 6kg of oil and 5kg screen wash and you still are no where near 1765kg

Carnut 05 March 2014 09:12 PM

I thought a Subaru was one of the best made cars ever. I would not even expect a Kia to break these days . It seems to me no car is made to be abused and if we all look after are cars there should be no problem

CADpaul 06 March 2014 06:55 AM

mine is due in the first batch in May in WR Blue, i might cancel it now! may as well tune my bugeye up and save a fortune in road tax!

Subaru used to be a well made car, but those days would seem to be long gone.

But the simple fact is that you can look after a car all you want, if however it has fundamental issues with the engine, then no amount of looking after it is going make the problem totally disappear.

Subaru Japan specs list both Kerb weight and Gross Vehicle weight .........

Google translated page..........
http://translate.google.com/translat...ec%2Fspec.html

It also ties in with the KW/GVW figures quoted for its lesser G4 brethrens..........

terzoscooby 06 March 2014 11:37 AM

Still think you have it wrong but I may be wrong also. Gross vehicle weight is the full weight with load/passengers and some options etc. so 1490kg is poids a vide (Leergewicht) for 2.5l MY11 in Japan (1505kg in Europe) verse 1615kg for MY15. Basically each model has been 100kg more through the years from version 1 classic.
