General Scoob appreciation thread.
It's all too easy to be a moaning mertal on forums. So a general positive vibe is coming out of this one.
Got to drive the Wagon for the first time since Xmas today. Been at my mate Ady's (local mechanic/classic Ford builder) for new brakes front and rear, fluid changes and prodrive exhaust fitting. Was worried clunking prior to going in was dampers showing age. Wrong! Thankfully it was the utterly fubar pony exhaust that was botched on there. Away with the beast and on with some OEM loveliness. Still got the sports cat and up pipe to go on before Rob Rawle plays with it. Very happy to have it back. General commute has been a mixture of the other half's Corsa D and a 3.2 Frontera ( which has actually been ok for out here in the sticks to be fair). To say I was more than happy to stick 15 litres of Momentum 99 and give it a bootful on the way home is a bit of an understatement. Japanese rocks. My Blobeye rocks. 20mpg rocks for today at least and I can safely say even the skanks on Channel Four won't rile me tonight. Happy times indeed. |
Glad you're happy, always a good thing :luxhello:
I'm in the market to buy another Scoob, hopefully I'll have some Scoob appreciation again soon.... can't wait :D |
Driving the civic EXGt to work 80 miles a day although luxury and laden with gadgets is nice
Driving the Nismo on night outs and going out with the misses is good fun ,looks the part and turns heads with 37 mpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps4d1b2017.jpg So despite over 41 k of cars sometimes the 14 year old green wagon that comes out once a fortnight ( apart from weekly washes ) totally blows my mind away Worth a couple of grand But Love the old school looks and basic interior Love the noise Love the handleing And love the fact that your driving a car that was designed 20 years ago Which was so right at the time and the performance car of the decade Classics will always rule :D http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/s...f43c0ecb05.jpg |
Had a few mins spare prior to starting work so fitted new JR panel filter and cleaned and refitted both the MAF sensor and the boost solenoid. Car seems happier at idle now and isn't tugging at steady part throttle. Happier still.
