Man Down cracks me up big time. Should be available on BBC iPlayet or possibly C4

hoff900 11 January 2014 01:10 PM

Ruels of engagement is worth a shout, and of course family guy

daveyj 11 January 2014 01:26 PM

Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother, Everybody Loves Raymond and Big Bang Theory. Amusing rather than L.O.L funny.

I really can't stand Friends.
Never watched more than 2minutes of it in my life, and that's only if its come on after I've watched something else.

I just really don't like stupidity, and sitcoms tend to be a really stupid 'joke' and then a bunch of retards laugh over it all.
Just don't find it in any way humorous.

The only things I've actually laughed at on tv is Catherine Tate, Celebrity Juice and Family Guy.

Must just be me with a weird sense of humour.

lozgti1 11 January 2014 06:07 PM

:D I like you

Skoobie Dhu 11 January 2014 06:19 PM

Another not going out fan (lee Mack is a comedy genius)
Green wing - absolutely bonkers
Man down
Bluestone 42
Fools and horses
Porridge
Inbetweeners
Lead balloon

Never got into any of the American stuff, the humour is too shallow for me.

Thanks, if that was me you were talking about!

I like silly and daft stuff, but I'm too logical to find stupidity funny most of the time, although I realise what I think is stupid is just in my own opinion.

bigredrob 11 January 2014 07:15 PM

the khans....funniest thing I have seen for years.....

If you like Lead Balloon then you'll like Curb your enthusiasm, as Jack Dee has copied it virtually.

Has Partridge been mentioned yet?

Or Eastenders unbelievably funny and utterly comical plot lines.

With Danny dire entering it, I can believe that it is now even funnier than ever.

+2 for Khans. :D

Osimabu wrote ---- "Do Father Ted and Phoenix Nights count as sit-coms?"

I want to vote to Father Ted, so I am going to say "YES, ya egit, now feck off.."

Dingdongler 12 January 2014 09:31 PM

Not going out is the best I've seen in a long time.

I cannot believe how many people like Big Bang Theory, it makes me cringe it is so bad.

I've recently watched the in betweeners all over again and it's hilarious.

I'll often watch re runs of The King of Queens, Everybody loves Raymond and According to Jim. They are always good viewing.

Felix. 13 January 2014 06:25 AM

I'm luvin the M*A*S*H re-runs at the mo

pimmo2000 13 January 2014 06:59 AM

inbetweeners .. anyone who doesn't find it funny needs to pull that stick out their arse ;)

Alan Partridge - YouTube

That is funny, never seen it before.:thumb:

+1 for inbetweeners, no Shameless fans? I also like some of the big bang theory and two and a half men, Raymond is watchable too.

When your as old as the hills you can see the punch line coming and figure out plots of films etc, but they do still manage to make me chuckle now and again, things like Last Of The Summer Wine and Rising Damp were great back in the day, Not Going Out is a bit predictable but still funny ish.

ditchmyster 13 January 2014 08:36 AM

47yrs young and still feel like i'm 25 mentally, just know a lot more stuff and have more self control than I did back then.;)

EddScott 13 January 2014 10:00 AM

Inbetweeners
IT Crowd
Peep Show

There was a US comedy called Better off Ted. The only truly funny thing to ever come out of the US. Guess what they did? Cancelled it.

Vic and Bob have a new Sitcom on the way - I saw it on breakfast this morning. Has the guy that plays Douglas from IT Crowd in it.

Martin2005 13 January 2014 12:41 PM

Current :
The Big Bang Theory

All time:
Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
Father Ted
OFAH

Alan Jeffery 13 January 2014 12:43 PM

Big Bang Theory. Very clever writing, and brilliantly acted. You have to stick with it to start with, but once you get to know the characters you can't help laughing at the most subtle of jokes.

stilover 13 January 2014 01:11 PM

The only modern sitcom worth watching these days is "Not going out".

Big bang used to be funny, but it's just the same all the time now.

joz8968 13 January 2014 02:05 PM

Big Brother. :lol1: ;) (May as well be).

:D

I'd rather slit my wrists.

windyboy 13 January 2014 03:10 PM

ITV2 (or possibly 4) have started to show 2 & a 1/2 Men again, I watch Big Bang from time to time and very ocassionally watch Rules Of Engagement or How I Met Your Mother

Plasticmonster 13 January 2014 03:33 PM

Nobody gonna suggest misfits?

NuNu9977 13 January 2014 03:52 PM

I've just finished 4 series of MisFits. Was so funny. (In parts) ;)

Paulo P 13 January 2014 04:22 PM

all BBC sit coms seem to be absolute crap these days and I just don't find Miranda, Mrs Browns boys, Count Arthur Strong & citizen Khan funny at all and they are so weak and unimaginative.

The re-runs of the inbetweeners are still very funny and so is the big bang theory, drifters & peep show.

joz8968 13 January 2014 04:26 PM

The only sitcoms I've ever really 'loved' were The Young Ones and Blackadder.

Followed by Fawlty Towers.

joz8968 13 January 2014 04:28 PM
