WILL WRX HEADS FIT STI SHORT BLOCK
 

Can I just ask a few engine builders will my bug wrx 2001 heads fit onto an sti v7 short block as im wanting to do this to save some cash, as im looking to go 400 bhp on my bugeye.
some one told me the ports on a wrx are smaller and wont rev as high, as the cam profile is different.
That's why the wrx rev to 8k and sti 9-10 k.
Any help appreciated.

Yes they will fit.
Cam lift and duration is less on the WRX heads but shouldnt restrict you in achieving your target figures with the correct supporting mods.

Yes as that's what I used to have,While the heads are off give them a little bit of a port.i have some used wrx heads for sale if you want mate,also the heads can go past 400bhp

My WRX heads are running 450bhp and are fine

Running v5 wrx heads on a v8 sti short block, no dramas,

Running Quad AVCS JDM Legacy 2.0GT heads on an STi 8 short engine too - enabled Mr Carr to push my boost a little in safety :D

Mick, what ecu you use to run the dual avcs?

He's on standard ECU. Dual avcs is standard in JDM twin scroll legacy's.
