Singapore Airlines A380 plane in emergency landing
|
Could happen to any plane right.
How many does Emirates have of these things btw |
Not actually that dramatic. The problem with the engine on the Qantas one a couple of years ago was much more dangerous.

It annoys me that most people don't realise it's standard procedure to put the plane into a steep decent ( which would feel like almost like a nose dive) when cabin pressure is lost. It's understandable to be worried, but it's common sense that the plane needs to get to a breathable altitude ASAP. They really should mention this on the pre flight safety instructions IMO Personally I'd be more worried if the masks dropped and the plane didn't descend as that could mean the pilots are unconscious! |
Last week coming into Gatwick I was on a 747-400 and the pilot aborted the landing due to high winds. Think we were only a couple of hundred feet from touchdown - definatly over the runway when he obviously didn't like what was happening so nailed the throttle and we had to circle round and try again. Not scary as such but still never experienced that before
