Ridiculous that you can get a decent Estate Car for less than £7,000 OTR!!!

A "Logan"? Would that be sister to the "Duster"?

What will be the next offering, a "floorcloth"?

The Impreza name shows that a great car doesn't rely on a sexy name .........

pslewis 05 January 2014 05:47 PM

That said, the VW Toerag is just a step too far .....

Christ, I paid 12k for my 2 years old second hand VW estate even in 2010. I should have waited. :D

Only joking. I'd never buy that Logan thingy even for 7 grand.

Thing is, unlike the old generation of cheap cars, like early Kia's, Skodas and Ladas these are actually half decent cars, not outstanding in any area but perfectly adequate, seven grand is amazing value for an estate car, it will be pretty basic, it wont be fast and wont be super economical but I cant image there is a cheaper way to own a new car, I quite like the no frills image, the Duster in UN white on steels I think looks pretty good.

These lose their appeal for me, the further you go up the range, kind of inverse to most other cars. They are cheaper than stuff like an Aygo or an Up!

The MG 3 hatch got a decent write up from Autocar, handlign and ride being rated as 4.5/5 stars, only a fairly gruff engine detracted, 105 bhp but a bit hard work to extract.

I suspect that a 2 year old model, owned by an OAP and covered just 10,000 miles may be an even better bargain at around £3,000!?

Seems quite good.

Not much choice on the car build options.I managed to get just over eight grand changing the paint colour and going for dark carbon interior, that's all the options you got..

Not quite a beauty, but it's all in the after sales.

7 year warranty.?
