Why do you need to wire it to the full beam????
|
hi, my gf was asking. I have just put the boost guage on, just need to wire it so the light goes on when it's at night, hence need it to come on when full beams come on.
|
Surely you mean dip beam ?
|
Four possible positions :
off sidelights dip beam (normal driving at night position) main beam (like flashing someone) sorry dont know the colour though [Edited by chrisp - 5/24/2002 9:00:00 PM] |
yeah, you know sorry, my gf wrote it and i just followed on! :) so anyone know? it's getting dark soon and want it to be done!

just been reading the gauges column so no need. wiring it to cigerette lighter! ;)
|
It's a bit like asking, how long is a piece of string. What colour from what feed?
There are a number of feeds under the dash but you can't really describe one easily.....have you got a multimeter? If so, try finding a feed which goes 12v when you switch the lights on...I know it's not very helpful but it's the best I can do... Matt :) |
But I think that the cigarette lighter is a permanent live (which would make you gauge light up the whole time....)

Splice into the purple wire off the back of the fog lamp switch. Comes on with the lights then.

The 'light' to the fag lighter not the lighter its self....
|
I've got my gauges hooked up to the bright switch so that when the lights are on at night, you can illuminate them or turn them off. Also has the benefit of not getting power when your lights are off.
Just a thought. S/ |
