Do not ever get involved in a tit-for-tat war with people like this. Scummers in rented property have nothing to loose and no morals. You will loose the battle simply because they dont care about their house and will always be willing to go further than you will.
If you go for the legal route, you need to pursue it incessantly until you get them evicted. Its not a fast process, but you need to keep maximum pressure up on their landlord to get them out. The odd message through facebook counts for nothing - you need to be calling and writing following every infraction. Beware though - they WILL know that it is you responsible for starting the process and they probably wont take kindly to it. +1 |

Depending on the type of lease - yes

they sound so disfunctional - do they even have a contract/lease
if they do not I suspect they(automatically) have one of these Assured shorthold tenancies with private landlords http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_ad...llegal%3Cbr%3E |
Bit of an update although not much positive - this tgread is for me to 'vent' and whine whilst I get stuff sorted as best I can ;)
Still waiting on the council sheets from the complaint on December 28th despite phonecalls. Still to get hold of the landlady but I'm waiting to see how bad tomorrow night is. They are still having their party and it looks like there will be 15-20 of them there, so I expect he'll from 7-8pm onwards :( I'm not sure after 11pm what I can do (or get away with re. calling the police out). Domestic violence, spilling into the street etc? Needs to be something they can't prove otherwise. I'm really dreading it but refuse to shop out Nat/Isaac every time they bang it out after 11pm. Even better, I'm 2-10 Friday today :lol1: That air horn at 7am is looking good now :D But in seriousness I'm just trying to get their other neighbour on side about a joint complaint. |

Feel sorry for you bud,had the same trouble a few years back, just keep calm and do everything by the book, hope you get everything sorted out.
All the best ........ |
Perhaps next time they plan a party get the details up in the public domain and ensure hundreds descend on the property. Lock your doors tight and after a night of strangers barging in to their party, stealing their stuff and trashing their house they may decide to move out.

Hi Andy A few years ago another friend of mine had something similar. He called the council's enviromental dept (there is a team on call all night) and they came to his house. They then measured the noise level in his house with a mic and agreed it was above an 'acceptable amount' The team then attended the neighbours property and got them to turn it down. What I don't know is what powers this team has should the neighbour refuse. You should look into this before the night of the party so you have a plan of action should they want to blast music at an unacceptable time of night. |
any updates on this mate?

Hi, yeah, it sort of got lost down there.
Basically let's say there is an "agreement" in place. After I put in about 4 separate complaints against them, I think they got the impression I wasn't prepared to accept what we were putting up with. Long story short, he was round mine asking what was going on with the complaints, I faced off with him and he sussed I wasn't backing down (my aluminium lathed bat was in close proximity but not required) and so we actually had a long chat outside in the end. Essentially he was told the noise would not be accepted at that time and that volume. If he or she wanted to play music etc, fine in the day but it goes down or off later on. Very simple to me as I'd simply complain again and again... He seems not to bad to talk to, bit chavvy but maybe even useful to know. Her, well she can get cancer for all I care, total waste of space chav slutbag coke-head. Why he puts up with her I dunno, maybe she's lightning in bed? Anywho, he's ok now, the dog crap is under better control, music is minimal and it's really just her banging and clouting things about, shouting in her gobsh1te toilet mouth which is an improvement on Xmas's antics. She's plainly banging and shouting about at all hours as a way of antagonism as I've heard him bollocking her for it :lol1: but I don't rise to it. Fcuk her and her leather face :D Fingers crossed an amicable agreement is in place. |
Take a sneaky snap shot of them, we need to see what they look like :)
