lateral mdx321t (billet)done only 1500 miles since full rebuild at a cost of £1200 still have receipt from turbo dynamics. looking for £1200 as this is a brand new new turbo. looking for a sc42 billet.

Why don't you max it on meth? What power did you make?

craigyp 18 December 2013 08:54 PM

im not bothered about power id rather spool. I bought the wrong turbo for a 2ltre in my eyes

craigyp 18 December 2013 08:55 PM

made 420

sonic93 18 December 2013 09:16 PM

Il swap it for a sc40 billet ;) even better spool I made 402 v power Sti 3 heads with avcs heads and meth 440 has been seen a few times

MrNoisy 19 December 2013 07:54 AM

I think you may have an issue with your car if it only made 420. Mate's bug STI on a billet T made 450 and spooled just as well as my SC42 did at the same rolling road.
3" exhaust, Perrin inlet hose, Alcatek, RCM headers, bigger injectors, FMIC etc. he also had parallel fuel rails.
My SC42 made 439 on V-power. On a T I'd expect at least that if not more!
Changing the inlet from a viper to a Perrin netted me an extra 20bhp alone due to the restriction. Little things can make a big difference if they're not suited to the turbo and car.

Hi Craig

As above MrNoisy said, you can have issue with yours and this can be simple as leaking headers or restriction on the exhaust/headers or Up pipe itself and due this I would keep T

MDX321T have run and its best standard location turbo to the date for us

Craig, as I told you before mine doesn't even have AVCS & mine spools plenty quick enough, I don't think a 42 will be any better as Iv driven a car with one. As Jura says, there may be another issue.

X70cky 20 December 2013 06:37 AM

As above I'd recommend this turbo also running 1 on mine spool is great but on the 2.5 block, like me you might have some thing restricting it's full potential mine when mapping was the injectors maxed out at around 432bhp.

craigyp 20 December 2013 06:50 AM

cheers every one. I need to find out then what the problem could be. but where do I start? have ulot seen my graph?

MrNoisy 20 December 2013 06:51 AM

With the spec you listed in your other thread I'd expect 450; you've got everything on yours that I have on mine and some more in terms of fuel rails - except I think you should be running a bigger fuel pump than a 255; I'd go to a 290 for that spec.
Also considered a catch can?

I had a 3 bar sensor fitted yesterday and then a map tweak as I was having idle problems and car was running very rich. The car made marginally less power but feels much better to drive now.
I suspect when we get the catch can on it'll take a bit more timing, and I have an RCM induction kit to go on too but that'll be it...

craigyp 20 December 2013 07:55 AM

had a hrc 290 and it failed. thats why I went to 255 si says theres no fuelling issues

Burnett 20 December 2013 08:37 AM

Would be interested in turbo but at that price I am as well buying new

craigyp 20 December 2013 08:56 AM

£1730 new and mine is virtually brand new. saving 500.
any how im going to book the car in to see if there is any other issues with it before I actually sell now.
