I'm going to change the downpipe on my motor for a scoobysport one so the qusetion I want to ask is :

will my car pass it's emmission test with the downpipe cat removed

I've had lots of opinions but none of these people could say yes my car passed like that. Any help would be great

No, not unless you still have the middle cat and it has been heated significantly before your take the test.

I dont understand why this is such a big deal to people.

You only need it to pass once a year, it doesnt have to pass all year round!

or you need to find a friendly mot station.

It's only a problem when MOT time comes around, I just don't want the hassle of refitting the old parts to get it passed.

It would be easier to get a bent MOT tester for a small fee (cough)
