PHS Impreza

Hi guys

Peebles High School in Scotland has recently been given the use of a Subaru Impreza to rebuild, tune and build for track use. The project was primarily funded by Melton Engineering who wanted pupils to;

•Experience new skills that were not part of our their current curriculum.
•Learn skills that would help in the future when working on and maintaining their own vehicles
•Help them realise there could be a potential job/university degree based in this type of interest.
•Discover a new found respect for performance cars and experience some high octane fun.
•Ultimately, be able to see that the track is the best way to enjoy a car in a spirited manner and not the public roads!!! This project would hopefully show them how to respect vehicles while developing driver skills in a controlled environment.

It may need a lick of paint.....

There you have it. Some eager pupils and 2 teachers that just happen to be Impreza enthusiasts/scoobynet regulars helping along the way.

Steps
1. Source engine parts.
2. Prep the garage space.
3. Build the engine.
4. Lighten car.
5. Braking system.
6. Exterior panels and painting.
7. Fuel system.
8. Prep for track day use.

Wish us luck!!!

Have my old RB5 lying about.
Had a fully running engine before being taken off the road. Your welcome to it if you need any bits. I'm in Perthshire so not that far away
