which ARB
im after a 24mm ARB (rear) for hawkeye sti
which is the best one? where to get it from? CDF are out of stock (weeks he said) need one before friday |
have you tried ScoobyWorld
http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...39_274_322_347 |
22mm whiteline , 3 way adjustable more than enough for road use .
|
24mm surely? ;)
|
22mm is more suited to a Classic, 24mm for Newage (IIRC)
Scoobyparts normally have a good amount of stock, or try Alyn @AS Performance. The Whiteline kits are very good. |
I've got a whiteline rear anti role bar 24mm on my blob sti and i would recommend as there a great piece of kit

Feels a lot more stable, 24mm felt like it was gonna snap loose when pushing hard. Unless you enjoy the back end popping round to say hello I would stick with the 22mm IMO. Scoobyparts will get you one within a couple of days. Speak to Tim, free delivery at the moment. Siv :thumb: |
It was already on the car when I got it mate

Not having a pop, but that comment didn't really help. :thumb: |

Then why say it is great piece of kit when you have nothing to compare it too?

You will feel a huge difference going from standard to 24mm especially if you have it on medium or firm setting.
You will need to get the front changed too if fitting a 24mm at the back otherwise it will not be balanced. |
No problem mate, but in your original question you did not mention comparing against standard and as people mentioned whiteline I thought I would say my experiences with having a 24mm white line anti role bar fitted to my car. Same as if it was no good I would have said that my experience with one was poor so not to bother with one

Eibach don't rust as readily as whiteline. I have 24mm eibachs on mine.
|
quick question Re rear ARB's, Having just bought a blob with a few mods on the suspension I have noticed the rear arb is three point adjustable with polybushed "S" shaped drop links. Is this arb an aftermarket on? what is std size so i can measure and comprae? cheers
|
Sounds like a Whiteline one but Im only using my memory from my Golf days
|
Ordered a Whiteline ARB 22mm last Thursday from Scoobyworld, it's not come yet but I have emailed them. Money has gone from my bank and on their site it is still saying awaiting processing, so I guess it's not in stock.
|
Std arb size?
|
Used to be about 19mm on classics - sometimes 20mm from memory on others
22mm front and rear is good set up on a classic. All personal preferance of course |
Sorry for hijackeíng this thread, but what about Blobs? 22 mm in the rear only, or 24/24 f/r or 27/24 f/r? Not really wanting to play guinea pig and buy three different sets
|
Don't go stiffer on the front than the back or it'll understeer horribly

I've just checked mine, 22mm rear, stiffest (most inner) setting. Drives very neutral, with oversteer being able to be provoked if pushed mid corner, lack of power is not helping with that just now.
|
Well scoobyworld didn't respond to my email, I will phone them tomorrow.
|
I've got a 22mm front and 24mm on my Blob, great improvement over standard.
I've got the softer setting on the front, and hard on the rear. Nice and positive on turn in, and don't find it too tail happy at all. It'll depend on your own driving technique as to which setting you prefer. |
Double checked this aft and still no email reply so phoned scoobyworld to ask about the delay and they told me they are having problems with With Whiteline availability but mine was being sent out today for tomorrow :)
£37 cheaper than anywhere selling them on ebay so I don't mind a slight delay! I think the biggy to remember when ordering offline is don't pay extra for next day! |

Guys , we have all bars in stock apart from the rear hawkeye bars at the moment, which will be the new year now..
that being said .. it might be worth checking with our u.k dealers for stock on our website, also Roger Clark may have rear bars in stock . Cheers Chris |
Well looks like another call to Scoobyworld :/
