New York Next Year

Thinking of going late next year for four nights, anyone else done a short break like this? Just want any tips/advice/recommendations on places to stay/eat and things like that.
Thanks in advance, TBD

Go for paddys day so much fun. We went last year for a week so so s good. Spent a fortune in our hotel 32 dollars for a double vodka red bull lol.
4 days prob not long enough to see everything. My hotel was the empire hotel really nice. Especially if going with gf/wife but I went with four lads lol.
When we was there in march it snowed so was kl.
I so wanna go back

Do a search on here. Been covered a thousand times with loads of good info.

You'll be unlikely to get much advice now as no fukcer comes on here anymore

Biggest tip I can give is to not underestimate the weather, when it's cold there it's really really cold. We went in March 2008 and it was -8c and sunny.

We did four days in New York City and then flew to Washington DC and had four days there.

Both stunning places and equally worth a visit.

I've seen plenty deals to NY on hotukdeals, might be worth a look, especially if your not specific on the dates ;)

Next biggest thing is to make sure that your hotel has double glazing...

We stayed in The Gershwin which if you like Andy Warhol, is excellent but it's an old fashioned New York tenement building and not a modern purpose built hotel.

So, we were kept awake as all of the maintenance in the city takes place overnight. We had several nights of Bin Lorries, reversing beepers, pneumatic hammers and the police shouting at people rattling the old casement windows in their frames.

So, get a room as high up as you can and make sure it's double glazed if you are looking to get any sleep at all.
