Its a fantastic bit of kit, with satellite navigation, handsfree calling with external microphone, mobile phone apps, ipod, Bluetooth,

how this piece works with iphone 4 or 5 ? did you test it or maybe own one ?

I had one of these (actually I think it might have been the slightly older model but the display on pic 2 was identical), and it worked with both my old iphone 4 and my newer iphone 5.
