Is this possible on a 2002 bug with normal throttle cable set up not drive by wire.

Yes with the right ecu set up

Current have OEM ECU with open source map by Duncan (RaceDynamix)
Have sent Duncan a message to see what is possible

What about launch control? Can this be done?

If it's been mapped by Duncan then it is likely that he has put launch control on there already..

Don't thinks it has been enabled, if it's there how do I find if it is enabled?
Been speaking to Duncan via text and has mentioned its possible waiting if he is available.

Stop the car, put it in 1st gear, hold the clutch and try to rev it to red line, if you got a launch control it won't let you :-)
