i thinks its disgusting that he gets paid to 'host' the show. does he donate his fee to the total fund at the end of the evening? i very much doubt he does. personally i would happily pay for this crap not to be shown for hours on end. i wonder if this years grand total will be any lower than previous years due to the hardship being faced by many british people, especially as we are apparently having a massive ice age for the next 3 months and people need to heat their homes, and also those that have donated to the phillipines disaster. perhaps if britain didnt throw away 280 million pounds in foreign aid to india for their space program and aircraft carriers, then we would all be free of this torture shown on bbc1 all evening! rant over.

CharlySkunkWeed 15 November 2013 09:26 PM

My blood boils whenever ANY celeb comes on TV asking for money , just donate 100k of your income and be done with it.

daviee 15 November 2013 09:32 PM

Wogan got to love him born in Limerick but his loyalty lies to who ever pays him, Eurovision he referred to UK entry as us and we, is Limerick part of the UK ?:cuckoo:

SJ_Skyline 15 November 2013 09:35 PM

I'm enjoying the torture if watching Chile beating England in a friendly... This bunch of overpaid prima-donnas should be shot when they line up! :)

To be fair Chile is only 2 behind England in world rankings as Scochland is doing alright against USA 22 behind.

I just had that very same conversation. Surely the celebs can afford it, plus they will most likely use it as a tax write-off anyway.

There was a BBC-In-Need appeal on a satirical sketch show last week. That'll no doubt come true.

I didn't realsie we donated to their space programme, that's a disgrace!:brickwall

Turbohot 16 November 2013 12:20 PM

Wogan is not an impressive host to the programme despite of the fact that he has been hosting it for years. He can crack some dry jokes, but his delivery is flat, and his expression is untimely. All his co-hosts show such @rse-kissing gratitude to him as if he's a live reincarnation of God. May be he is, but I thought Zoe Ball was cool, and even Nick Grim was better than Wogan last night. Wogan needs to retire now. Not because of his age, but because he doesn't do a good job. Trevor MaccyD would do much better job, if BBC want an occasional happy chappy with a serious touch of compassion.
