Question regarding Sti clocks

Hi All,

After upgrading my WRX to an Vf35, Sti up pipe ,sti intercooler and pinks plus other mods , Duncan has remapped to around 330bhp would it be a good choice to change the clocks to sti ones ? Any pro's or con's? my car is a bug.

Thanks

Plenty of people have done mate.

Are they a straight swap?

Yes as long as you get non dccd ones they plug straight in.
fitted some to emmas wrx a while ago.
shift light etc all works fine

Is there any benefits to fitting them? also what about the current millage on my clocks

Sti clocks have an adjustable shift light that beeps and the rec counter is in the centre.
Mileage will be whatever the car was on when it had clocks removed.

Ok cool, thanks another question is there a way of improving the air getting to the sti intercooler without out fitting an sti scoop which looks stupid on a bug

None I know of, maybe invest in a FMIC.

I'll look into that with duncan, I've only just fitted the sti intercooler this weekend, I'm just thinking what to do next now maybe anti roll bars etc

The STI scoop for a bug doesn't look that bad IMO, you should see the STI one for a blob. That looks huge in comparison.

Maybe one of those aftermarket interooler shrouds/splitter things? Not sure if theres one for a regular bug wrx scoop, but it directs airflow better apparently.
