Type RA Close Ratio Gearbox
 

Hi All,

I used to have a Version 1/2 Type RA, and I absolutely loved the acceleration of the close ratio gearbox... Firstly are these rare as rockin horse s*** now? and secondly can these be run on newage imprezas?

Not something I will be doing tomorrow, but if it is possible then it is definitely something I will be looking at in the future.

Yea you can but need to retro fit the Dccd. Oh and in a few weeks il have my gearbox up with matching rear diff rear shafts ,prop up for sale ;)
Mines a type r box but with the same ratios you speak of as ra.

Nice! Out of curiosity what sort of money would that be?

Having just blown up an v2 RA box: Type R boxes and diffs have different ratios.
Type RA's run a 3.9 diff and I believe type R's are 4.4. The box ratios are different and rear shafts are different too.
