Now we are going back into an ice-age....
According to the weather man on BBC Yorkshire and Humberside last night.
FFS, it's only 30-odd years since they were telling us we were going into the next ice age during the late 70's, how only 20% of the world's population could hope to survive etc etc etc. THEN we have the whole global warming scam, and it's associated green taxes. NOW back to an ice age. When will these utter cnuts stop, and just admit two things: 1. The climate ISN'T stable, and is changing all the time, always has, always will, and, 2. It's all down to the sun's activity level, which is pretty low at present, so causing the "ice-age" ideas. Last night the twonk on TV was talking about records going back 10,000 years.........who made those then? Adam and fekkin Eve? |
Does this mean we can go back to burning logs and peat? love the smell of peat burning! haha reminds me of Donegal.

Bugger that, moff sarf

Actually, climate change is mostly down to the earths orbital variations and to a lesser extent, sun spot activity.
The earth wobbles on its axis in three planes, eccentricity, axial tilt, and orbital precession. This was discovered and accurately mapped out for 600k years by Milutin Milankovitch (look up Milankovitch cycles). Computers weren't around then, otherwise he'd have mapped out climate change for the rest of time. All the climate change taxation we have now is all due to the Kyoto protocol. This is an agreement with all the major nations to screw the public by taxation, saying its us humans to blame. Climate change is real, but a totally natural phenomenon. How we humans can be so arrogant as to believe we can influence the climate is beyond belief. |

The BIG question is to what extent. |

None of this was included in the IPCC assessments of course?
I'm pretty sure that humans can and have had an influence of our climate. The BIG question is to what extent. Simply put we don't know if we are or not. o and ice age may well be on the way, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...-activity.html which of course is man made,,,, hahahahahaha |
This crap about ice ages was being pushed in the mid-70's.
At the time, we were getting about one article/programme a month about how devastating it would be, with worst case predictions that 80% of the earth's population would die..... Did it happen? The above has been one reason why I could NEVER take Global Warming seriously. I mean, come on....they can't even predict TOMORROW'S weather with any certainty most of the time, so how the hell do they KNOW what will happen in ten years? |
Bring on the snow. I own a Subaru!

The global warning scare is a good way to make more cash out of us all with green taxes etc. And haven't they made the most of that opportunity?
Time to return to a more normal way of existence I reckon! Les |
I bet the energy companies are rubbing their hands with glee!
