Scoobyworld Raptor Exhaust

Are these exhausts stupidly loud with the bung or tolerable?

I changed from a vortex afterburner to a prodrive back box as the tick over volume was just too great. (Kept waking my little boy up if I went out in the evening! ).

But, I miss the great exhaust note when out having a blast.

I see the Raptor is an updated version of the Vortex but that it comes with a bung.

Does anyone on here run one of these and if so, does the bung actually make a difference?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

I haven't tried the box you're talking about but I've had a few different systems all of which came with bungs.
The bungs do make a big difference to volume in my experience but are quite restrictive. If however you don't plan on hooning it about with the bung in then it really doesn't matter. You could use the bung when just going to work or popping to the shop and then remove it on a sunday afternoon when its fun time.

A pal did have a nur spec systems and even with the bung in he still looked like a cock. Christ those exhausts are loud...

As above. Shame the bungs do restrict the power as in on track etc.

It's pretty loud.. all I've got on mine is the back box and centre section..

here's a video of it https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...3445098&type=3

I think it's a similar volume to the Vortex to be honest! You might benefit from something like a Milltek?

Even with the bung in place?

Apologies, I haven't tested with bung. I lost mine :/.

I've heard it quietens them down a lot, but can choke the car above 80mph.

To be honest the WR sport and PPP backbox make a nice sound, and without pissing you off on a long journey.

A full scorpion or milltek system will also make a great sound, again without the annoying drone on a long trip.

Yeah, but what downpipe and centre section?

My Hayward and Scott Jap Angled system is pretty gentle on tick over and the motorway, I get more noise from my tyres :) They also make quieter versions, and you could put a resonator in the centre pipe for even more muffling without losing performance..

I loved my old Hayward and Scott system that I had years ago. The japspeed I have now sounds good and easy to live with

Scoobyworld sports cat and de-resonated centre section.
