Warranty Wise does it cover modified cars?

Hi all!

I did an online quote the other day for my Sti with warranty wise, they called today and it sounds a good deal. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?
My car is remapped etc so I wonder if they would cover this...im expecting a call back tomorrow from them so would like a few questions ready.

Cheers, Gaz.

If it's an aftermarket warranty, don't bother. Save you pennies!

They have an advert on the box at the moment with Quentin Willson singing there praises. The lass who I spoke to was polite but probs didn't realise these cars are more than likely to be modified than standard.

Does your car have full Subaru service history?

Were the other services carried out by a vat registered garage using oem parts? How much have they quoted you and what is it supposed to cover?

I didnt get chance to go through all the details but she said it doesn't cover serviceable parts like tyres or fluids. £60 pm or just over £600 for the year which I thought was ok.....not bad if the engine goes bang ha. I only got the car 3 wks ago with 51000 on the clock and not 100% if all service history other than the Subaru is VAT registered.

I'd put £80 a month in Subaru savings pot. Aftermarket warranty companies have a reputation for wriggling out of any potential claim. And of course they would, it's in their interest. What's was the excess out of interest?

Honestly, put the money aside yourself in case of any potential failure. Ok, you may not have enough when needed but you'll have a good chunk of money to put towards the repair.

Any if you don't use it, have a nice holiday.

£50 excess. I was thinking of putting money to one side for such unfortunates happening and your right they would probably do all they can to get out of paying....maybe the garage floor I was having the work done wasnt the right shade of grey ha.
