brake pedal judder

Hi all. I'm getting a lot of juddering when I brake. Is this caused by warped discs?
Thanks.
Richie.

Hi! mate yes it is if the judder is in just the pedal it's the rears if it's in the pedal and steering wheel it's the fronts or all.

Can be warped disc or deposits on the disc or sticky pots in the caliper,it's best to take the wheel off and visually inspect all parts to see where the problem is.SJ.

Thanks for the replies. So, how do I check if it's a sticky caliper and, are discs and pads for an import different from a UK model? It's a '94 WRX import.
Muchas gracias.

If your cars been stood for a while, the build up of surface rust may cause this. Few uses of the brake later it may cure it, or drive with the hand brake on for a short distance?

Jack car up, spin wheel by hand you will soon know if it is stuck caliper. If you can not be certain from that then you have to manually push the pistons in one a time and see which one it is. Also it is very difficult to warp discs, 99 out of 100 times it will be either stuck piston or an uneven build up of brake pad deposit on the discs which means you can skim them but personally I would get new discs and of course always new pads when fitting new discs.
