also does fitting a BB stuff up the warranty? and I guess there is a need to let insurance co know as well?

and....does anyone have any experience with a dealer fitting a non OEM BB and how much to get it done

Have tried 3 BB's now Scoobysport is loudest with probably largest power increase. Magnex is good sounding quieter than Scoobysport and definatley quieter at high speed. Prodrive quietiest next to OEM has a raspy note not much of a power increase.

tried a few back boxes myself.nicest sound was magnex6x4 with cr4p inner oval removed from tail-pipe but to be honest I felt no performance gain.the blitz is,for me,too loud for road use but without a doubt gave the best gains.

Roger, if you've still got the cats in then I bet you won't notice any performance gain with any BB, unless you confuse it with noise increase of course.

Lose the cats and you'll definitely see an increase though.

Only a prodrive BB will not affect your warranty unless you have a sympathetic dealer. If a dealer fits an aftermarket BB for you then you'll probably be OK.

I went in an STi recently with a full Blitz and it was unbelievably loud - and I'm used to full SS systems.

Then the guy took the baffle out of the BB.....OMG!!! :eek::eek::eek:

TSL gets my vote, great noise and has helped stop the overboosting problem on my car. Top quality, well made and lifetime warranty... all this and I got mine second hand. very impressed.
