Detailed Honda Civic Type R EP3

So new to Civic's and have owned this model for a few days now but the car has clearly never seen a full detail before. So after 7 hours of a full detail these are the results, clay barring took close to 2 hours the grit was shocking. Very happy as paint work sings.

Thanks bud, Civic is great very different animal to an Impreza, needs to be worked hard to get potential from the engine, almost like two cars in one. Below 5500 it is quiet, nippy, comfortable little jap mobile but above 5500 the thing just goes mental and it great fun with a limiter of 8700.

Not for everyone but if you enjoy working an engine and having the confidence its not going to go bang then you will enjoy it.

Great stuff mate, looks a really nice example. I had a Milano face lift for 6 months. Any plans?

Has yours had the rev limit raised? That's above standard. Keep an eye on the paint too as they tend to scratch very easily no matter what you detail them with. I'm on my 2nd NHB one and it's being replaced with another pre-facelifted Milano one in January.

No its just standard bar an induction kit and bypass pipe, thought the limiter was that high, shows my lack of knowledge tbh, the paint work seems to markk easy but what car does not?

Civic is an easier car to live with on a day to day basis, not so balls out as a classic Impreza. That is the best idea have the Impreza as a weekend garage queen!

In fairness 8250 looks like 8600 on those rev counters anyway. You get remaps done on them and people swear blind they have a 9000+ rpm rev limit when it's mid 8s.

You will find Honda paint is in a different league for scratches compared to you Subaru. I've had layers of stone chip protector and the like go on and still marks like a bitch.

Cracking cars though, just want another 50bhp imo.

An extra few ponies wouldnt go a miss, but even with the standard power they can be a handful in the wet

Getting them to pull away in the wet is the worst.

Centre caps always fade badly. Just bought a new set myself!
