underbody referb company

can anyone recommend a very good underbody strip down and tart up company in the south wales area? I am looking at getting the underside of my P1 re-sealed, all the bits powder coated new suspension fitted, hubs cleaned and so on and I am looking into the possibility of getting someone to do it as I just do not have the time to get it all sorted.

Anyone know any good powder coating, zinc plating companies in wales too?

I am only saying wales as i live there but if anyone can recommend anyone outside who are good at what they do then I would look into giving it to them to do too

I know a good classic car restoration garage. It's in lancashire, but may be worth the travel for you. I'm sure they give you a courtesy car too. But tbh id imagine you'd be looking at a couple of grand to have such a job completed. If you need the info there web site is

Mate you need to speak to "silver scooby sport" on here. Si has just finished his RA and it looks superb. And he's in Wales. If he can't point you in the right direction no one can.

Another option would be to take it to a car cleaning garage that has a ramp. I took my mums blob STi to one in Bath.

The car was bought as a gamble and had been laid up in the country for years. As you can imagine it was disgusting under there. I tried numerous companies prior but was getting quotes around £500.

The bloke spent 45mins spraying it off and it came out looking brand new.

Once he was done you can use your own choice of sealent/protection.

They charged us a whole £20 for their work :).

Big money to save if you can task the job in hand
If your not time sensitive , on a ramp is ideal , but you could take it as 2 projects / front/ rear / everything off , stripped , painted , replaced , bushes joints etc
Once completed , on a trailer to a alignment centre for everything tightened & dialled inn.
It's a big job wich will take time , & the cost will add up once you start .But the results will be very rewarding
