Cruise control retro-fit into 04 sti

Evening all. Just a quick question. Is it possible to put cruise control onto my 04 sti? I don't for one moment think it'll be easy, but is it possible?

I had a Forestor with cruise control..it has its own 'brain' and switch, but it was an auto, so not sure you could retrofit it to a manual...

take your vin number to subaru, they will tell you, or look for aftermarket unit

Dealer advised me NOT to on a 98 car. Said they now refuse to fit the parts even if someone finds them, too many problems.

It wasn't drive by wire.

Yes! Or at least I have done with my MY06 STI. This has a fly-by-wire throttle pedal though so it was very easy. The kit I used was by Conrad Anderson but if I remember correctly they did a whole range and could do cable-operated throttles too (sorry I don't know what type your car has?). There was a thread a few years ago, I posted on there in quite a lot of detail what I did. Hope the link works....

It's great too. I used to do a lot of long journeys so it was brilliant. Had no probs and I've had it installed for about 5 years now, did it myself, wasn't too difficult.

Pete.
