BMW F30 330d
Chopped in the 7 series for the 330d today, so far loving the test drive and have only covered 30 miles today.
Dealer got the wife a big bunch of flowers too :thumb: |

Not yet, I'll do some at the weekend.
They told me it doesn't need running in but feel a bit nervous giving it full beans from day one! |

Got a VERY good deal. The tip is to go in 3 days before month end on a new 'registration' month, bending over backwards to reach their target so gave me a 20% discount and a healthy trade in for my old one.

Nice cars! I'm warming to the F30 shape now.
I'm looking for an M135i next (currently 335d Touring) and hearing of some amazing deals - 20% off for some! |

I've got torque dial envy now :D |
i had an F30 320d for a couple of months and at one point thought it was nearly every car i would ever need and could chop the scooby in for one! Then someone slapped me and brought me back down to earth.
In all seriousnes if i was driving my car everyday i think it would be and F30 over my scooby(Hangs his head in shame- must be getting old) |
If you thought the 320D was good the 330D is awesome

Touring version with X drive would be the perfect all weather family car for me!

I've got the use of an F30 328i M Sport at the moment.
It's a 2.0 4 Pot turbo with 242 Bhp and 258 ft lbs (twin scroll turbo). With the 8 speed paddle shift sport autobox and about a million other options. It is a lovely looking car and very well made (I've had alot of BMW's in the past), but it somehow leaves me feeling underwhelmed. They've got the build quality back now but they've lost the feeling from the driving experience IMO. It feels very numb to drive, there's not alot of feedback from the car, you feel detached from the road quite alot. It's not slow though :D. Goes like stink for "242 Bhp". I think they might have been lying about that slightly. Ran it against a friends 240 Bhp and massively lighter S2000 and the BM was actually slightly quicker which was surprising. Couple of random phone pics of it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...ps46d8504d.jpg Attachment 69598 Attachment 69599 Oh and OP, you can change the Sport display to show in HP and lbs ft under the settings menu. |

Bmw website now has 335d x drive touring available to configure and buy.
313bhp hmmmm :D |
Once you've had the 6 pot you get so irritated by the rattles and vibration from a 4 pot you can never go back :D
going to this from the 7 series I can say that it definitely feels nimble LOL |

going to this from the 7 series I can say that it definitely feels nimble LOL BMW six pot diesels are truly epic IMO. They just keep on pulling and pulling. Most "old" 335ds like mine are well over 300bhp (factory figure was 286) so I should think a run in F30 335d would be into very naughty numbers. Same with the 35i engine too - most are a fair whack above the factory quoted numbers. I've heard the M135i is usually 340ish too. That's partly why I want one NOW!! |

Just back from lunch and was parked next to an '63 X5 - the M50D variant. Never seen one before. Very sleeper like but 3.0 triple turbo pushing out 380bhp / 720nm and still only 177g/km. Impressive stuff.

Have you ordered yet? If not, depending on where you are, my dealer was VERY good.
Who did you order from? I had to buy my 335d from Sytners in Leicester because the dealers down here were absolutely hopeless. I've heard of some stonking deals recently on decent engined BMWs! |
