stonejedi 30 September 2013 08:03 PM

EssexJamie 30 September 2013 08:03 PM

That's not that expensive for oversized 4 pots brake pads mate.

kezwaldo 30 September 2013 08:10 PM

they are kevlar pads apparently ,they also say its a aston martin pad??????????? i didnt fit the conversion so i had no idea until i took old pads out today and then had to put it all back together again !!!!!!!!!! ive never paid more than 25 quid for any of my old cars so was a bit of a shock!!!!!!!!!!!!

EssexJamie 30 September 2013 08:14 PM

Yeah they use a Aston Martin pad with there big brake kit, when I had six pots on my Cosworth it cost £236 for Pads.
But there a really important part like tyres and I never scrimp on either ;)

kezwaldo 30 September 2013 08:15 PM

is there no where else that sells the same size fitment pads????????????????

LUCKO 30 September 2013 08:16 PM

imprezaworks 30 September 2013 08:17 PM

Are they standard pads? I've got 8 pots and I'm more than happy paying 130 delivered for a set of performance friction ones.

kezwaldo 30 September 2013 08:22 PM

Godspeed use Aston Martin pads that they modify to fit with the big disc upgrade kit.

jura11 30 September 2013 08:33 PM

£92.95 for brake pads for OE 4pots,bloody hell that's expensive pads and as above for Performance Friction Z-Rated pads £130 and those pads are much better than Kevlar pads

I wouldn't worry tbh. Iirc the Godspeed pads are designed to make use of the added surface area of the bigger discs, I'd have thought you should be able to use oe pads (seeing your using the standard calipres).

That being said how ever, check it with Godspeed. I could be wrong.

kezwaldo 30 September 2013 08:36 PM

well the dimensions of the pad are on there site could i not match that somehow at a car parts place?????? im pretty sure as ive said the pads ive taken out dont look anything special........

neil-h 30 September 2013 08:41 PM

No idea, the website says the modify them slightly to fit. What the means is anyone's guess.

MattyB1983 30 September 2013 08:49 PM

Many big brake kits use modified pads. The poweratation porsche kit for instance uses modified pads.
Im sure if you purchased a set of normal pads you could use your old ones as a template and modify them yourself.

chitsu 30 September 2013 08:49 PM

DS2500 are £250 a set, now there dear pads!

imprezaworks 30 September 2013 08:51 PM

Yeah I looked at those for mine, the pf pads are supposed to be as good for half the money.
