Loud exhausts !

Just been wondering...

Anybody out there got RCM team ice exhaust or afterburner extreme from Scoobyworld on their classics ?

Any plod trouble ?

And quieter with a sports cat on ?

Cheers

Just asking to get pulled with one of those on, I had a normal afterburner on a decat with sports cat and that was too loud, Was around 107db which is too loud for any track days.

I love loud exhausts, But the Team Ice exhaust(if you can call it that) is just way to loud, I felt embarrassed by how loud it was, Not a good idea when your neighbours windows are rattling because of your scaffold pipe exhaust !!!

Blitz nur spec is the best exhaust if you want it loud without being extreme like the RCM team ice!!!

I'm looking at taking one off mine for a 3" exit rather than 5". Miles too loud when giving it the beans

Just been listening to those team ice exhausts on youtube, oh my!

A friend of mine has an afterburner extreme on his bug and omg, it sounds great, but it is so so loud and when your in the car you have to shout when you talk so you can hear each other.

I have a genome rear silencer standard front pipe and deresonated centre pipe and that's more than loud enough, around town ok on light throttle but when over 4k it screams, on a twinscroll though.

Youtube will rarely do justice to how loud an exhaust it, imo.

Surely if you simply unbolted your backbox and gave it a cheeky rev it would give an indication as to how loud a Team Ice would be?

Was going to put one on my system am running now.

Standard downpipe and de-resonated centre section

The back box I got on now is from a newage with STI emblem on the tailpipe.

Want something a with more bark but not the plod attention.

nurspec :norty:

I had to the take the atfterburner off my 05 Wrx. It was just too loud. I couldnt pull up on my drive late at night without waking my 2 year old son. In fact, I coukd enter our road, some 200 years away from our house, without waking him up. Yes, they are that loud.

I have swapped it for a prodrive oval backbox which a lot quieter. In fact, it may just be too quiet!

That is just silly though isn't it? For a road car.

Never, it's just the bit that states that it is not for road use.
I thought these exhaust have a stamp on them saying this?

All this talk about exhausts is making me want to one a little louder than the prodrive, may be a ninja??

I have a ninja 2 coming off mine soon, if u wanted one. I'm going back to standard prodrive back box.

EssexJamie 11 September 2013 10:23 PM

How can I make my Prodrive a little bit louder but not too loud? Does a Bug UK300 have two cats?
