Roof scoop bonding

Hello looking for some advice looking to bond a roof scoop and a vortex generator to my Subaru, any suggestions on the best thing to use? Many thanks.

Each to his own Tubby, Mind your own business,

Those roof scoops are horrific mate.

Get a real one, otherwise you just look like a tit with a bit of plastic glued to your roof.

Not got much against vortex generators in fact I quite like them, some recommend tiger seal but I'd want it bolted on if it were me.

You could always try a gurney strip instead of a vortex generator it'll probably have more effect.

Well the rear diffuser might not do much but at least it does something. Whether or not it looks good or not is open to opinion, I personally think they look great and I'd go so far as to say the roof vane vortex looks the part too.

Those fake roof scoops are daft because you could fit a real roof scoop that will actually do something rather than a plastic projection on the roof that will make the wind howl around it. And of course make you look daft, imagine someone asking you about it "oh no it doesn't actually let any air in I just stuck it on to make it look like it does" :lol1:

If you think about it, a fake roof scoop is as bad as an electric dump valve, at least the real VTA dump valve does something! (good or bad)

Priceless.
I never thought of them like that until now.

I disagree, a roof scoop looks the business when covered in real fake carbon vinyl.

If those wheels were mine I would have my head stuck out of the window as I was driving along so I could see them going round and round like Ace Ventura Pet Detective.

+3. Real flaps or nothing at all!

mervil 10 September 2013 02:19 PM

Pritt stick? That way, when you drive it really fast (on that private road everyone seems to find and race on) the wind will catch it and never be seen again!

That's as constructive as it's gonna get as they look gasher than a gash thing in gashland!!

I've seen one on a Ford fiesta in my local McDonald's so surely it must be a good mod to do?
