Low mileage, minters, fully restored cars, come out and show yourselves

I've always liked seeing how some cars are kept unbelievably tidy. It's almost like they were stuck in a time capsule.

Let's see those low mileage, fully restored, concours condition or just incredibly mint cars. I'm sure there are a few of you here. :thumb:

So whip off those car covers and show off your garage queens! :D

Post up some of your best shots Gaz. May not be a classic just yet, but definitely falls into the 'incredibly tidy' category. :thumb:

Once my S202 comes back from having a full service and TLC I'm hoping it'll be good enough to grace this thread properly. ;)

In the meantime here are some pics before it left Japan.

http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps2038100a.jpg

And a couple of it after it arrived in the UK.

It's is unbelievably good condition for an 11 year old car, the non standard side reflectors and side repeater lamps are being swopped out for the original orange items.

The drivers side mirror for some unknown reason has a Blobeye mirror fitted so that's being changed for a Bugeye item, and it's having a few minor paintwork issues addressed.

All the chassis and suspension bushes are being swopped out for SuperPro polyurethane items, any removed subframe/chassis metalwork will be cleaned and freshly powder coated to keep the underside fresh.

It'll then be freshly undersealed ready for next year's show season, oh and the interior is like brand new as well - no marks, burns, scratches or damage to be found inside the cabin. :)

Cannon Fodder 01 November 2013 07:35 PM

And yes I did pinch some of my ideas from Simon. :D

I just hope my car ends up 80% as good as yours, if it does then I'll be a very happy man. :notworthy

Silver Scooby Sport 01 November 2013 07:52 PM

You'll be there Ty.... What are you doing in the wheel arches themselves will you be doing a nice fresh coat of blue and just sealing the underside ? I think that would look great.

cjquicksilver 01 November 2013 08:03 PM

My Fresh built track car does that count?

I'm not sure yet Simon, from memory the inner wheel arches are in excellent condition it doesn't look like they've ever seen any road salt etc.
.
If they need doing they'll get done without hesitation but I'm fairly sure it'll just have a fresh underseal.

I'll be leaving that decision to the expert. :)

Very low! Looks like it's been tastefully upgraded as well. :thumb: What's the spec on it?

Very nice pair of cars there 67FB. With so little miles done per year, bet you don't remember how they drive everything you start them up. :lol1: :D

I would consider how i will be using the car before i decide on the type of underseal Ty.

If you're going to be showing it off at shows, but also using it as intended, occasional track day, backroad dash etc, then i think all you need is one of those overpaintable stonechip. You can then paint over in body colour and the archs will look brand new.

The regular JDM STIs come like that from the factory.

It is nicer like that in my opinion than say slapping on waxoyl; which may probably offer better protection if you are intending to drive it during winter, or want to something that you apply and forget about it.

I just love the 1st picture. Everything looks orignal and new. It looks like the car was stuck in a time capsule. :notworthy:thumb:

I've never seen a bonnet latch looking like that! :lol1: Don't close the bonnet Si, you'll damage the plating. :D
