identify this pipe?? suspect a coolant feed to somewhere but not 100%

ok so ive identified that this is to the oil modine, im told this can be removed altogether and doesnt need replacing, is this easy to do, and whats involved, tried the search function and its come up with everything but what im after.

Don't know about removing it but you can get an oem part for £25 or so from import carparts!

Just replaced mine as it as rusting, brought mine from import parts via ebay site, simple to swap over, get new rubbers for the end,

i got a spare one make me a offer + postage :)
