Classic Gear shifter question

My 94 wrx has a aftermarket short shifter and its horrid ,

my question is,doe's the Sti have a slightly less throw shifter over the stock wrx item or are they the same?

all factory fit ones are basically the same.....

Disagree. There was a big difference between my UK turbo shifter and the sti version!
