Has anyone got any experience with the above ISDN router?

Trying to build a low cost dial-up solution for a friend, for my sins I picked this box :)

I had no problems configuring it and I saved a config back-up file via xmodem download before a final test & switching it off. Try switching it back on next day, doesn't boot clean. Gets as far as the 'loading isdn firmware' and then reloads after a debug output.

Fair enough - failed box, and I returned to provider. After replacing the main board, back it comes.

I, stupidly it seems (:)), booted it up (no problems) & went straight to maintenance screen and uploaded (xmodem again) the backup file I'd previously made. It does the same thing again now, lol! Gets as far as 'loading isdn firmware' and reboots.

Anyone any ideas, or a good online tech resource?

Cheers
Richard
Edited to add: after making the 1st backup, everything worked OK....problems appeared 1st reload after making a backup...and 1st reload after trying to restore a backup....

Have you tried setting it back to factory default settings ?

It sounds like you have a corrupt config....

Thanks Jeff - that's what I want to do....but how? I can get into debug mode, but can't find a list of commands to issue at the prompt....one must be a reset..

Have a look at http://www.zyxel.com/support/support.../zynos_faq.htm which describes how to upload the ROMFILE to the box. You should have the ROMFILE on the CD or be able to download it from Zyxel

Glad to help.....the config on these isn't difficult so you should be up and running soon. They share the same OS as the Netgear products.
