Steering Wheels - 2002 on a 1998 classic?

Hi Guys,

Firstly hello :-) Newbie having just bought my first Impreza, an R plate UK turbo, managed to find a good one and absolutely loving it!

I do have a little wear on the original steering wheel, and wondered if the steering wheel from a bugeye would fit my car? This seems the best option as plenty of good condition newer wheels about and will work out a lot cheaper than having the original repaired, assuming its compatible of course!!

I don't know if your car is a new shape classic or not but I have just changed my wheel with a bug wheel. The only issue was the horn connection was bigger so they got swapped. My cars a X reg 2000 turbo. I got a STI wheel with the red stitching and it looks a lot better.
