Brembos on a gb270

Right gents, can anyone confirm whether or not the Prodrive GT1 alloys on the GB270 will fit over a set of STi brembos? I've had a quick search and some people say yes and some say no.

So any takers?

Defiantly no!, I had same issue, I went with different big brake kit.

I have these for sale:

They will with correct spacers. I've just had mine done but I've got the GB270 Wagon so not sure if the saloon will differ. I'd imagine they the same.

What constitutes 'correct spacers'? Tbh I don't really like the idea of spacing the wheels out too far but if its only a couple of mm then i'd be tempted.

Also, how much are we talking for a decent set of hub centric spacers?

to fit brembo's under my hawk wrx wheels i'd guess its 5-10mm to get clearance

Even with the GT1's used on the GB270?

Maximum 10 mm looking at mine. If you want to get a confirmed answer speak to Matty from Pole Position. He got mine and I'm sure he will be able to confirm. He is on this site , look him up under the trade section.

The offset on wheels are set for a reason. By fitting spacers your pushing the limits away from the correct position and it may even require fitting longer wheel nuts.

Pushing out the wheel 10mm on each corner is a bit extreme, it will end up with the stupid VW dub/Euro look :cuckoo:. Better pads and discs may be just the right upgrade instead.

Perhaps but the spacers used on my car have not caused and adversed effects to the way the vehicle was previously. I also haven't noticed any part of the wheel that is sticking out pass the front wings. I was using 10mm as a max and my suggestion to the OP was to speak to Matty as he provides the spacers.

I have an AP six pot 356mm disc set up on my GB270 Saloon with a 5mm spacer. But with very close clearance on original alloys hope this helps.
