Ditto, but it seems the sound advice is to avoid them so I've not chanced it. I have dimpled discs which are less prone to cracking but that's on Brembos:thumb:

Yeah I'll leave it then, not work chancing it lol.
I was looking into a big brake upgrade but I don't think it's worth it for me as I'm not looking at power mods at the moment.
Really want to get some discs with anodised bells/hubs though hate it when the rust!

JonMc 31 July 2013 09:24 PM

The godspeed ones come with painted centres so should stay tidy looking:thumb:

I just rubbed my hubs down and painted them with black hammerite....they've stayed nice and black since!

I see you're in Braintree mate. If you're available, tomorrow night is the Southend run. Meet at the tesco along the A127 at 7-8 pm and then convoy down to Southend. It's always a good turnout and a cracking meet :)

EssexJamie 05 August 2013 08:05 PM

I would have come sound good but was my mates 30th.
I've done that before with the Hammerite does work well, just thought if I could buy some done it would save me some effort lol ;)

EssexJamie 03 September 2013 03:29 PM

So still is able to drive since 10th of August and looks like at least 3 more weeks till I can, so no use of my right hand or wrist still.

Good stuff done my whole X5 headlights in it and Fiancées Cupra FR, easy to work with :thumb:

EssexJamie 11 September 2013 01:06 PM

So I'm allowed to use my wrist for small parts of the day but for nothing major, but got to do some exercises whilst going through physio so thought might as well excise it doing a few car bits!

Fitted the ScoobyParts Pink Grill Badge:

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psd28ea926.jpg

Then with the help of my daughter fitted the STI Red Stiched handbrake and STI handbrake surround and Gaiter

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps28a7fe07.jpg

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps7b8e313f.jpg

Then fitted the Flocked Clock centre dash piece after drilling a hole for the alarm light:

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psf138e702.jpg

Really want to get the rest of my dash and bits flocked and fitted now!

EssexJamie 12 September 2013 12:44 PM

So whilst waiting for my mate to help me fit some bits I decided to try and cut, smooth and spray the Gurney flap I bought for a bargain price of £9 delivered

Cut, Smoothed and Sprayed gloss black:

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psd9c9b71f.jpg

Whilst I had the paint stuff out thought I'd clean up the Scoobyworld WRC mud flaps that I bought off a SN forum member, so I cleaned all the mud flaps using Cif and 303 Aerospace dressing, then I primed and sprayed the fixing kit brackets from silver to Gloss black, and got some new shinning fitting bolts:

EssexJamie 13 September 2013 02:06 PM

Gurney Flap all fitted love it:

An the Mud flaps:

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psa9f1ff1c.jpg

Now just got to wait for the rain to settle down to put the stickers on the mud flaps!

EssexJamie 24 September 2013 09:52 PM

EssexJamie 07 October 2013 08:17 PM

Thanks for the comments, appreciate it.

zippy! 07 October 2013 08:40 PM

looking good mate i dont mind the gold caps too much either which has surprised me lol

EssexJamie 08 October 2013 09:47 AM

Thanks Zippy, yeah I was thinking this is going to look really bad when I was doing it, but thought oh well I can always just spray them black.
But as the gold dried and it went like a Matt gold I thought yeah that will work.
Think when I get my blue hoses it will compliment it quite nicely.
Not sure what to do about the intake snorkel though!?

EssexJamie 15 October 2013 10:45 AM

Postman dropped this of Saturday

Roof Spoiler:
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse95d1093.jpg

Mirrors now all fitted bit of a pain in the arse as a screw was buggered, so door cards off and hacksaw out, gave me a chance to re grease all the window mechanism.
