Ditto, but it seems the sound advice is to avoid them so I've not chanced it. I have dimpled discs which are less prone to cracking but that's on Brembos:thumb:
I was looking into a big brake upgrade but I don't think it's worth it for me as I'm not looking at power mods at the moment. Really want to get some discs with anodised bells/hubs though hate it when the rust! |
The godspeed ones come with painted centres so should stay tidy looking:thumb:

Meet at the tesco along the A127 at 7-8 pm and then convoy down to Southend. It's always a good turnout and a cracking meet :) |
I would have come sound good but was my mates 30th.
I've done that before with the Hammerite does work well, just thought if I could buy some done it would save me some effort lol ;) |
So still is able to drive since 10th of August and looks like at least 3 more weeks till I can, so no use of my right hand or wrist still.
Bought a few parts nothing major as cant fit them. Scooby Parts Pink Grill Badge: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps0b28a647.jpg Flocked Black Clock Dash Console and working Clock ;) http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psec91ebae.jpg Genuine Red Stitched STI hand brake: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse4e3d05f.jpg Genuine STI gear surround, gaiter and console: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps0e3ac109.jpg Blue Valve Nuts to match Wheel Nuts: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps8ad10860.jpg Managed to fit these with my left hand lol http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps7496dbaa.jpg |

So I'm allowed to use my wrist for small parts of the day but for nothing major, but got to do some exercises whilst going through physio so thought might as well excise it doing a few car bits!
Fitted the ScoobyParts Pink Grill Badge: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps60c72477.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psd28ea926.jpg Then with the help of my daughter fitted the STI Red Stiched handbrake and STI handbrake surround and Gaiter http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps28a7fe07.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps7b8e313f.jpg Then fitted the Flocked Clock centre dash piece after drilling a hole for the alarm light: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psf138e702.jpg Really want to get the rest of my dash and bits flocked and fitted now! |
So whilst waiting for my mate to help me fit some bits I decided to try and cut, smooth and spray the Gurney flap I bought for a bargain price of £9 delivered
Cut, Smoothed and Sprayed gloss black: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psd9c9b71f.jpg Whilst I had the paint stuff out thought I'd clean up the Scoobyworld WRC mud flaps that I bought off a SN forum member, so I cleaned all the mud flaps using Cif and 303 Aerospace dressing, then I primed and sprayed the fixing kit brackets from silver to Gloss black, and got some new shinning fitting bolts: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psddf74f6a.jpg |
Gurney Flap all fitted love it:
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psfa8deec6.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps816c4962.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps2bd61515.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psb22b124b.jpg An the Mud flaps: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps0ebdb6d3.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psa9f1ff1c.jpg Now just got to wait for the rain to settle down to put the stickers on the mud flaps! |
Prodrive stickers for the mudflats fitted last week:
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps83e9a825.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse8055fe0.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps81b41eba.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse4307afa.jpg |
And today postman pat delivered my deep chin Splitter....yay!!
https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps57510984.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...pse7c16bbf.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps16ca3906.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...psa5351522.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9f98c79e.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2a74f9de.jpg Going to get my mate to re-paint the original Prodrive lip gloss black again to make it nice and new looking Excuse the dirty car pics, going to clean it tomorrow try get a few descents photos one day lol. |
So after giving the Fugly Bug a mini valet the other day (see more pics here https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...let-today.html of that)
Here's a Couple of it after the clean though: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps57fd77a5.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps68a1068c.jpg So today I thought I'd give the engine a quick clean, but I went a bit far and with a can of Gold Plasti Dip left over from my mates wheels I sprayed for him....engine bay went from this: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psf190c6d2.jpg Then this happened which I know a lot of people probably won't like lol: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psca1a1832.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse0f0db19.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps33e874d2.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psa6b20b10.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psf565c2a9.jpg |

|
Always loved the uk300. And this is a lovely example. Love it mate
|
Thanks for the comments, appreciate it.
|
looking good mate i dont mind the gold caps too much either which has surprised me lol
|
Thanks Zippy, yeah I was thinking this is going to look really bad when I was doing it, but thought oh well I can always just spray them black.
But as the gold dried and it went like a Matt gold I thought yeah that will work. Think when I get my blue hoses it will compliment it quite nicely. Not sure what to do about the intake snorkel though!? |
Postman dropped this of Saturday
Roof Spoiler: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse95d1093.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps0eb2ea79.jpg Now got to decided if to bond it on with Tiger seal, or drill and bolt it on :0 |
I did both sealant and bolted it on, its not going anywere now lol
|
Think I will do the same, well get a bodyshop to ;)
|
So these turned up, Carbon Fibre Mirrors :)
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps5b51e567.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...psec7ec5d5.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...pseadafc52.jpg |
Mirrors now all fitted bit of a pain in the arse as a screw was buggered, so door cards off and hacksaw out, gave me a chance to re grease all the window mechanism.
Anyways fitted: https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps75cb4de9.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5c21fc3a.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps263b8f8e.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe1d902c.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6c5f919a.jpg https://i224.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe2808e7.jpg |
