Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

Anyone got one?

I've been looking at these in the phone shops and the screen is absolutely glorious and very tempted to get one (not from a phone shop as they are miles cheaper online).

The only thing putting me off is what's about to come out in the next couple of months as this is one of the first properly big phablets to hit the market. It has:

Specification:
CPU / GPU: Dual-core 1.7 GHz Krait / Adreno 305
Screen: 720 x 1280 pixels, 6.3 inches (~233 ppi pixel density)
Dimensions / Weight: 167.6 x 88 x 8 mm / 199g
RAM / Storage: 1.5GB / 8GB
Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, IR Blaster, 3G/LTE, Wifi ac
Camera: 8MP rear / 1.9MP front
Battery: Li-Ion 3200 mAh removeable

but i'm thinking as this device market takes off the specs are going to swamp the above on cpu, internal memory and 1080p screens.

Using it in the shop and the screen was just as nice as my S3 even though the res is the same but the screen is much larger. It didn't notice. It was fast even though a dual core. I tried some gaming on one and it was WOW. Forget PSP/any dedicated hand held gaming device this trounces them because of the screen size and graphics capabilities. Virtua Tennis was brilliant on it.

I tried it in my jean pockets and it was fine which I didn't think it would be, even sitting down it wasn't uncomfortable.

The 16gb version is Asia market only although can be imported from DigitalRev for less than the 8gb version over here :freak3:

I had been looking at the Note II but this thing makes it look small and not worth the upgrade!

Sony are bringing out a stupidly high end spec one of these in October but pre orders are around £650 :o This you can pick up for £370 sim free.

And as for using it as a phone, it's not as Dom Jolly "I'M ON THE TRAIN" as you might think.
