apple's market share plummets
In Europe apples has lost 11% year on year market share, now down to 20%. It is even worse in India. Is this due slow upgrades in models or there are many more exciting phones being released with dizzying regulatory?
Apple have manged to keep their market share even with a small increase in the USA, which you would expect being an home grown company. Well Nokia kept saying that to themselves until very recently:-) |
Yes but some Americans are real dumb , and there's quite a lot of em
|
The few folk I know with iPhones are jumping ship to Android at their next upgrade. When you look at the likes of the Galaxy S4 of the HTC One compared to the iPhone they have really upped the game. Lets face it the iPhone really has changed much through the various models, probably time for a rethink.

Hey Andyroid, Let me tell you a story. You're on the side of the road selling Lemons, they're great Lemons, hand picked and perfectly shaped and also very Lemony. You're killing it, everyone wants your Lemons, no one cares for the miss shaped factory Lemons anymore especially as they cost more. One morning you rock up at the side of the road open up your lovely store and let in your polite staff, but hang on, whats going on in the store next door!! You walk in and find Lemons, they're kind of like your Lemons, very much like your Lemons in fact, just not quite as good, the staff are rude and the fruit is going bad as soon as you leave the store. How come people are walking out with these Lemons, how come only a few people are in your store? You look up and see a sign "Free Lemons"!!
You pack up and go home, start crying as the game is over. Luckily your boyfriend slaps you in the face calls you a bitch and tells you to carry on as usual, people will still pay for quality. The end. |
Personally I hope the market share goes down a lot more. We had an influx of idiots.

U.K. In the U.K., Apple is also on top with 47.92 percent. The June 2013 figure for Apple is an increase from 43.04 percent in July 2012. BlackBerry lost its second place finish. The company formerly known as Research In Motion went from 27.83 percent in July 2012 to 16.15 percent in June 2013. Samsung jumped to second place as it finished June 2013 with 20.46 percent. |

I choose to be positive about my technology choices whilst others spend their life being negative about products they don't own. I think I made the right choice.

Here's a different slant on the term "iPhone killer"

Nice. I read the other day about an Android user that slipped and fell, next thing they know there's a Galaxy up their butt!

Bigger screens with crap apps don't do it for me. I'm still really happy with my 4S, great apps and very shortly will be even better with iOS7. Cost me nothing.
I have the same iPad, brilliant. Saves me needing to have a big screen phone I suppose. Might be tempted by the 5S. |

Crap apps lol. Well strange how the majority of the apps I have are just what I had on my iphone 4 or have on my ipad. I checked that was possible before jumping ship.
I don't take my ipad out with me, it's for sofa surfing/gaming only. If Apple came along and made a 4.8"+ iphone 4 (I liked the solid feel and weight) and added android style widgets to the os so live tiles/windows were possible then i'd be back to iphones. The nearest phone to perfection for me at the moment is the HTC One because of the metal chasis but I don't trust HTC's batteries, Samsung battery life is miles better. When one of the tech companies picks up on all the best bits from all the phones they will be on to a winner: Quality case/chasis = iphone 4/HTC One long lasting and replaceable battery = Samsung S3/S4/Note II Large internal memory = 64gb on HTC One X+ 1080p screen = HTC One OS has live updates widget or live tile style = Android/HTC blinkfeed As far as I know not one mobile phone company has made a phone with all the above features in one device. HTC One is closest so far. |
1) iPhone
2) iPhone 3) iPhone 4) Not sure 5) iPhone 4 out of 5 aint bad and that's my 4S!! |
I reckon an ipad would been better for me, only as refurb though and only as a toy, obviously
|
Galaxy S4 has 1080p screen too (and it's AMOLED).
|
Shame about the AMOLED.
|
S'ok,
there next gen stuff will be ok, they've gone back to Samsung for the chips :) Mart |
Got to let Samsung catch up a bit. A year off should be enough time to modernise.

mart :D:D:D |
I doubt Apple switched provider because the current one was better.
|
lmao, please tell me your not claiming i phones have more up to date tech than samsung's phones?
|
It sounds like Andy has got Jack wrapped around his little finger, his little toy so to speak. Jack is like a well trained dog, you know he's going obey his master (andy) by replying to any thread he starts to do with phones, if Andy threw Jack a stick i'm sure he'd fetch it then be sat at his masters side wagging his tail.
|
It's kind of like that Rob, but only if the master is a cock and the dog makes him look a bigger one.
Tidgy, we're talking about the future, Samsung are still making iPhone chips, but they couldn't keep the contract, hopefully they'll be in better shape for 2015 and will win it back. Don't forget Samsung have been blowing a lot of cash on Marketing and not a lot on Development. I hope you enjoyed the adverts and sponsorship. |
apple have a long long way to even keep up with the competion in general jack, like the new macpro or what ever its called, out of date and its not even released yet
|
You really have no idea what you're talking about. Which Mac Pro is more up to date than the unreleased Mac Pro? Please don't reply with a Windows or Linux PC, I couldn't take that much laughter on such a hot day.
