Spare Plug in boot for Towing Electrics

Can anyone help please.

We've got a 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX.
Just put a towbar on and about to crimp wires into the rear back lights when I discovered a 10-way connector (9-poles used) taped in the wiring loom behing the driver's side rear light cluster.
I'm guessing that this is for plugging in the towing electrics? Can anyone confirm if this is the case, and if so, do they have the pin-outs and a cheap source for the mating connector, maybe Ebay?

Do a search on here for towing electrics, I provided the colours for someone else recently.

I can't do it again as the car is 800 miles away......

Subaru don't supply a diagram for the plug as such (unless in the towbar electrics fitting kit)

However, download the following two parts of the workshop manual and then checkout the listed sections of the wiring diagrams. It will give you all the info needed.
Will probably only get a suitable plug from a breakers.

Many thanks all and particularly Don for the schematics.
Does anyone know who makes the mating connector, I think it could be made by Sumitomo? but they have not responded to my email yet.
Will post a connector source if I ever discover a supply.

Spare Plug in boot for Towing Electrics

Hi guys,
I've now sourced a connector and completed the wiring.
I'm very pleased with the result, no connection/splicing to the original wiring loom. I fitted an alarm buzzer between the rear indicators and the trailer indicators to make an audible noise when towing a trailer.

For those members that have a similar problem the mating connector is a "Sumitomo HM 090 series 10-way connector with pin inserts" It's available from EBay from "landrover-connectors" and is described as "DEFENDER TD5 / PUMA - Hazard Warning Lights Switch 10-Way Connector & Terminals" and costs only £9.95 plus £1.10 postage. (Note - you have to ask for the mating receptacle with pin inserts as the connector above is identical to the in-car loom connector.

Another source, which I bought from as I was still not sure is "
sales@kojaycat.co.uk", HM09010 which costs £9,25 plus vat plus postage, for a pair of mating connectors.
