Is it hard to fit a Microphone to a pillar to stereo on blobeye sti?
 

I should have a new single din stereo to fit in the next few days and as it comes with a microphone. What is the easiest way of installing this on the a pillar for a novice? Can I slide the cable down the A pillar trim without removing it? Then can a feed the cable to the stereo? I thought about putting the microphone on top of the steering column trim but I did't like the look.

Can anyone help?

Easy just pull the plastic forward and it unclips

Thanks, do i have to remove the whole trim or can i just pull it away a little to feed the cable down? When the cable goes down will i have to remove any other dash trim to be able to route it to the. radio or will i just be able see it? I would normally check but i have'nt got the new radio yet and only want to pull the trim off when ready.

depending on length of cable why not use the B pillar, closer to you and is easy to thread down and under the carpet then under the centre console to the head unit.

That would then be behind him. Making it harder for people to hear him the other end.

A-pillars come off easy enough, but if I did mine gain I'd go up the a-pillar, along the roof lining and have the mic central. Away from the window noise.

The A pillar trim just pulls off really easy then you just run the cable down the a pillar and under the dash, when I did mine it took less than ten minutes start to finish including cable tying it up under the dash. :)

Thanks just installed the microphone, could'nt actually route the cable until I removed the lower dash cover underneath the steering wheel. Managed to just install the mic before it got dark. One thing I did notice is behind the fuse box location I found 2 green adapters that are not connected to anything? Does anyone know what these are for?

Next thing is to remove the dash trim around the heater panel and to install the radio, hopefully this is idiot proof? Thanks

Don't need to be connected unless doing that.
