The rev limiter on my 1998 2 litre sport seems to be set at about 6000rpm, does anyone know why this would have been done and how to get it sorted out. Please help so that i can start having some real fun...

i think officially its 6200 and afaik is standard setting on the sport. i am fed up hitting the limiter and just think of it as having a virtual wife in the car telling me i'm going too fast.

My MY97 sport does the same but doesn't cause me much of a problem. I do live in London though.
