Whats the minimum spec need safety wise Currently cars fully stripped, buckets, harness, With plumbed extinguisher to follow and cage. |
No run what you brung at hill climbs and sprints but there are all sorts of classes all of which are required to meet the legislation as laid down by the MSA, normal prioduction cars are to easiest to run but must have MOT, scrutineering can be strict and if the car does not pass you don't sprint. This link to the current MSA Blue Book 2013 will help
http://www.msauk.org/site/cms/conten...p?article=1158 You will also need the MSA B licence as the minimum. |
Not all sprints are governed by the msa.
Various clubs hire sprint tracks privately and organise relaxed days for all levels. Mlr laterall 22b.com sprint series is also an option and very well run and organised. Check out Midland scoobies as they have a day at curborough sprint track booked in for August. |
I'm sure Javelin run a couple of sprint style track days, one being at Barkstone i think.
