A628 Woodhead Pass & Snake Pass
How many of you guys live close enough to the Woodhead Pass and Snake Pass?
For those of you who know these roads I'm sure you will agree that they are a fantastic road for any scooby. I'm thinking if we can get a meet sorted close to this location, we could all take a ride along one of these daring roads. I'm lucky enough to have access to these roads any day as I only live 5 minutes from both. If your up for this, sign below! If we can get enough numbers then I'm sure we can agree date to the above. |
Travel it every day to go work
|
I'd be up for it

Used to do it regularly then end up at Holme moss, dosent help with all the Sunday drivers, it's never a quite road these days whichever day you choose inc Sunday's.

Yes It was good 10 years ago
Stupid speed cameras !!!!! |
I live right at one end of the Woodhead pass (Tintwistle), I'd say its pretty rubbish to be honest due to the huge number of HGV's. The snake is much better, I often get up at 6 on a sunday morning and do the snake-strines-woodhead run.
|
Done it a few times, not far from me. But as above speed cameras and hidden plod have ruined it somewhat.

Every time i have used snake pass it's full of HGV's or people driving at 40 mph 6 cars in front so unsafe to pass.

Woodhead has its slow drivers and HGVs but also as some nice stretches to overtake and put your foot down ( if you want )
