Arrgghhh main dealer doing my head in...

Trying to order a couple of simple parts.

STI high level spoiler, the two plastic clips at the front that go into the boot lid.

There are 12 bolts an 2 clips. He cant find the clips on the system and hasn't a clue what i am talking about.

Is there a simple on line part breakdown I can get the number from ?

Wait until your head gasket pops and you try to make a warranty claim if you think they are being difficult now ;)

Subaru Main dealers = about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

I've found a main dealer that's good, they're not all a bunch of asshats.

One managed to crash and rip two wheels off my car while it was in for an oil change!

How?

It was my Spec D PPP at a main dealer in Derbyshire. I believe they now sell Kias and aren't a Subaru main dealer anymore.

The car was due it's 30k service, I took it in at 29-odd. Headed into town and what not, when I got back they told me there was a problem and kept me sitting in a back room for what seemed like ages.

Eventually someone came in and said that my car had been involved in an accident and that it might be a good idea to get in touch with my insurance company.

My immediately response was to ask if the driver was unhurt, to which they answered "yes he's fine".

I then ripped into them and told them that they should not have been driving my car without asking me first and then told them that they would now bloody well sort it out or I'd sue them out of existence.

They never did tell me what happened but I heard that it had collided with another vehicle and hit the central reservation whilst coming off a roundabout. I saw the car coming into the car park on a recovery lorry and I distinctively remember the rear wheel completely missing and front wheel at 45 degrees.

They put me into a Legacy Spec B for six weeks while they fixed it, was a very nice motor indeed. When I returned the car I was just getting out and one of the mechanics roared into the car park way too fast in an RB320 - not sure if it was his or not - but I made sure I didn't go anywhere near them again.

I have used other main dealers and generally found them to be very expensive and with lacking customer service. However as I said there are good ones, I cannot fault the one I bought my latest Impreza off.

To be Honest you just need to find a dealer you can trust. ;)

I've just driven 75 mile to mine and having it serviced ;)

BUT There are two much closer and cheaper but happier that I get treated right.

Bad customer service doesn't mean bad mechanics and vice versa.

I go for good customer service because if I'm happy cars happy LOL

Subaru parts and labour are expensive but keeps 3 year warranty.
