Had the original exhaust re-fitted today (by those nice chaps at TSL :D), in preparation for PX'ing the Scoob :(

Had been running SS DP, Magnex centre and WR Sport BB. Thing I thought I would miss most would be the low down torque and general 'driveability' of this setup.

But I didn't notice the lack of low down torque much on the way home, but what I did notice was accelerating down motorway slip roads, above 5000rpm it felt absolutely gutless!!!

Funny, I had noticed an improvement with the decat at high revs, as you would expect, but it wasn't until I switched back that I realised what a big difference there was!

Sounds like a good reason for leaving the full de-cat on to me!

i put my 97 scoob back to standard when i was part exing for my p1, it was horrible, gutless, silent
ss exhaust was on the p1 the 2nd day i had it
