Bugeye Sti NPS fault

For the last 12 months I have suffered from an EML fault- cam shaft position sensor B. I changed the sensor, put a grounding kit on (which did make it run more smoothly) but to no avail.
The car was remapped by Duncan at Race dynamix in Dec 2012 who high lighted a fault with the neutral position switch. This was changed for a new one but I'm still getting the fault displayed! On 100% throttle the car is awesome and pulls sweetly but there is a flat spot around 3.5-4k rpm in 5th and 6 under partial load?
Any ideas on where to go now?

What would be the harm in effectively shorting the switch to tell the engine it is in gear 100% of the time??

Cheers for any help in advance!

Have you tested the neutral switch with a multimeter to check it's working properly?

NPS faults tesnd to mess with the AVCS and reduce power...........data logging should highlight that.

Camshaft position sensor errors throw up a CEL but don't affect how the car runs.
