astraboy 20 May 2002 08:44 PM

Escudo Pikes peak version.
tuned to 1800bhp and more than a little rapid. I have managed to peg the speedo off the scale with this baby.
in excess of 200,000,000 mph.
:D
astraboy.

Reffro 20 May 2002 09:15 PM

Only one fun car I like in GT3.........RUF 911 CTR tuned to near 1100bhp.

All the race cars you win, or can buy make it too easy, more fun to get a tasty road car and play. No race kit as that makes it too easy again, 2WD not 4WD, but lightened and all the suspension, gears etc uprated. It's a bit tasty in the corners, you certainly learn the art of slide, but watch out for the tyres it will shred Hard compound slicks in 2-3laps if your brutal.

MrDBM 21 May 2002 08:00 AM

modded tommy kaira, belching out just under 1000bhp. about the same weight as a mars bar too, so it goes well.

AND unlike some of the cars it looks amazing as well, replays are alomost as much fun as flinging it around laguna

EvoRSX 21 May 2002 08:38 AM

Mazda 787B.

Kicks everything into touch without even trying.
Very very quick but more importantly very very easy to drive.

Pikes Peak is quick in a straight line but try cornering and its a different beast all together.

Of, and of course, and Evo 6 RS just becasue I've got one :D:D:D

Paulo P 21 May 2002 10:19 AM

Mitsubishi evo6 makinen (drift king :D) you can just hold that sideways everywhere :D

R34 skyline for the same reason :D

Impreza rally prototype (just love it)

mitsubishi evo 7 rally prototype

mitsubishi evo 6 rally

Aston martin Vanquish tuned to silly power :D

MichelleWRX1994 21 May 2002 10:48 AM

I had a play on Crypt's version (he has some nice ones in his garage :D) I haven't decided which is my favourite yet......

astraboy 21 May 2002 10:55 AM

Stearing the Escudo is a piece of piss, I do it with the traction control turned off too. you have to use the brakes to stop the wheels spinning though. :D
astraboy.

MarkJackon 21 May 2002 11:35 AM

Tuned Esprit V8, 1100 BHP
Polophony 001
Toyota Corolla Levin
The 2 Wheel drive RUF as mentioned above

whats your quickest 0-400, I think mine is about 8.93 in the F1 car, the RUF tuned is nearly as quick 9.066

And by the way, I could kick all your arses on this game, unbeaten as yet.

Bruiser.STi 21 May 2002 11:40 AM

The Polphony 01 is the goodies.....

And the Pikes Peak, use the handbrake to go round corners.....

CrisPDuk 21 May 2002 01:00 PM

Mazda 787B - Kicks arse everywhere. Mine's done 2800km
Mazda MX5 Old shape - modded to the hilt, TC off in the wet, awesome.
Zonda C12S with 900bhp - very tail happy.
Toyota Yaris 1.5 Turbo - Funny
Citroen Xsara Kit Car, the one you win is quicker than the one you buy - the best FWD car in the game.
Mustang SVT with all the engine mods, stock suspension & hard slicks - the best car going for replays, just watch the body roll!

The Crushinator 21 May 2002 01:20 PM

The Mini 1.3:D:D
Impreza Wagon:D:D:D

Wizzbang 21 May 2002 05:19 PM

right then

Track - Complex String

any ROAD car (no race specials or rally cars)
any MODS
NO DRIVING AIDS (no traction or stability)

fastest times please

WizzBang

ps. no bullshters or corner cutters please

MarkJackon 21 May 2002 05:26 PM

I love the Complex String, most seem to avoid it, will give it a go tonight.

How many of you have got all the licences ?

MarkCSC 21 May 2002 05:41 PM

new shape Impreza rally car
S4 500bhp very funny you go sideways everywhere.
The Pikes Peak car is a wee bit uncontrolable and not that rewarding.
The F1 car is amazing. Bloody fast and the grip is something else.
The Tommy Kiara ZII looks sooo cool (was this car ever made for real?)

But my fav cars are the 911 based RUF's. The boxster one is not really that good but the noise is fab :D

Can't really get on with the Skylines. The steering is remote and there is not a lot of feedback. When you tune them 800+ the chassis can't take the power.

4.44 for the complex string with the RUF RGT. Not very good as I spun once. I'm sure I could knock 20 seconds off it with a bit of practise.

JAMES BUSHELL 22 May 2002 11:15 AM

My Favourite at the mo. is the Mustang SVT.. i've sorted just about everything on it and you can just powerslide it perfectly...

for seroius racing i have a RUF 911:D. been playing with the camber angles, etc lately to try and reduce the understeer, but with not much luck... but i've now come to the conclusion that it's due to the massive power it's putting out..:) so i just touch the handbrake now to get the back slidding on the tighter corners..

James

Scrappy2 22 May 2002 11:58 AM

I like it Wizzbang - does this include f1 cars? If so I have a late 3's time for that...

CrisPDuk 22 May 2002 01:58 PM

Mark, take one R32 Skyline tune the ar5e off it (850ish bhp), set the centre diff to 90% rear, buy some gravel tyres and then go and do Smokey Mountain or Tahiti Maze. Laugh, I nearly crashed! :D

JAMES BUSHELL 22 May 2002 02:54 PM

F1 cars..?? am i mising something here..??

Paulo P 22 May 2002 03:15 PM

James

Yes there are two F1 cars in the game :) sadly I haven't played it enough to get either of them yet :( they are the polphony 01 & 02 I think? they are both different but I can't remember how :( sorry

Scrappy2 22 May 2002 03:29 PM

Yep James, you gotta do some if the sleep inducing endurance races to win 'em... Well worth it tho' :D

JackClark 22 May 2002 04:17 PM

Use the rubber band trick and do something less boring instead.

Wizzbang 22 May 2002 07:23 PM

No F1/race/rally etc for the timed lap of complex string

just set a flying lap of 3'55.797 in my RUF RGT

Can do better though

What time are you ppl getting

WizzBang

Turboteeth 22 May 2002 08:20 PM

Don't know about the best but the worst is my Impreza WRX STi wagon with 600bhp with no suspension or brake mods...impossible to drive.

nigelward 22 May 2002 10:16 PM

Ah something to do with all the credits I have amassed.

Best time so far is 4:27.621, done with a 675bhp TVR Tuscan Speed Six with pretty much everything done to it.

The two F1 cars are:
Polyphony 001, V10 (no displacement given, probably based on current 3l) (789bhp)
Polyphony 002, 1.5l V6 Turbo (789bhp)

Nigel

Bruiser.STi 23 May 2002 01:06 AM

Managed a 3.52 in a Toyota GT One Road Car. Gets a little messy in a few corners, but does have 1022 bhp for the straights......

JAMES BUSHELL 23 May 2002 01:32 PM

I'll keep an eye out for the F1 cars.. had a quick go on the Coplex String last night.. 4.35 secs in my 911.. it'll get more power over the weekend..:)

dogmaul 23 May 2002 01:51 PM

there is actually about 6 f1 cars in it
