....increase the price of your phone insurance without your consent, yet refuse to allow you out of the contract THEY have changed?

I know that phone companies have started to include a little clause stating that they can increase your contract by a rate to is similar to inflation to cover rising costs. In my opinion that is bull**** as, like you say, you agree a contract and a price.

Not sure how it works with insurance though. But, as I say, read your contract. :thumb:

Herself managed to get free insurance with Orange whenever she took out her contract a couple of years ago but recently they had started charging her for the insurance as her contract was going to an end. After much complaining and speaking to different supervisor's she managed to get it refunded even though they had "no record" of her being entitled to free insurance, she has since stopped using the phone Orange supplied so cancelled the insurance and has got her contract down to £11 a month as she threatened to leave them
